The Menzies Library was very fortunate to be the venue for a calligraphy demonstration by Korean artist Kim Jang-Hyun on Thursday 27 February.

Mr Kim’s demonstration was the first of the Korea Institute’s Old and New Waves: A Korean Artists-in-Residence Series, which will host prominent Korean artists who will take part in a number of events showcasing their particular art form.

An exhibition of Mr Kim’s work, Brushing Contrasts, was officially opened following the demonstration. The exhibition will be on display in the foyer of the Menzies Library from until Sunday 8 June 2014.

For more information about these events visit the Korea Institute’s website.
